Über Peter Ustinov muss man nicht mehr viele Worte verlieren, der Mann war ein Meister vieler Genres.In dieser Autobiographie beleuchtet Ustinov selbst sein Leben und erzählt viele kleine, wunderbare Anekdoten, die nie selbstherrlich oder rosarot wirken.Der Mann konnte eben alles.

Das Paket wurde schnell und gut verpackt gesendet und empfangen. Da es keine besonderen Vorkomnisse gab und es schon einige Zeit her ist, habe ich es fast vergessen. Das Buch ist sehr gut, viel besser im Original als in der deutschen Ãœbersetzung.

Ja,da ich sowieso ein großer Verehrer des lieben Sir Peter bin, war die Anschaffung eh' ein MUSS. Ich genieße sie bei jedem Anhören neu.Gerhard Bleymehl

Dieser Mann ist einfach einmalig: Im Dialog mit sich selbst lässt Peter Ustinov die wichtigsten Stationen seines Lebens Revue passieren. Das ist mal humorvoll, mal nachdenklich und sogar durchaus selbstkritisch. Der Kunstgriff des Dialogs mit sich selber würde bei den Autobiographien vieler anderer (vermeintlich) Prominenter fehl am Platze sein, doch bei Ustinov ist es genau das richtige. Einfaches heruntererzählen liegt ihm einfach nicht. Insgesamt ist "Dear me" für mich neben Agatha Christies "An Autobiography" und "Come, tell me how you live" die gelungenste Autobiographie einer Person der Zeitgeschichte überhaupt.
